6.5g shallow mangrove lagoon

Got it wet today! Im going to try a mangrove in this little guy, run mostly white light and ill put my peach skunk and rbta in there as well, I am going to use the hang on isolation/acclimating chamber as a hob style sump, it has deviders that act will act as different media holders, im gonna do macro algae and possibly a couple softies ,im using a bottle style ato for now while it cycles then will add the same optical sensor style I use for my other tanks, hoping to add some life to this guy in a few weeks, should be a fun little project!

Do you grow sea lettuce

Sea Lettuce (Ulva lactuca): The Most Underappreciated Macroalgae?

by greg.chernoff

The use of macroalgae in marine aquaria has steadily increased over the years. Ever since they have become more widespread in the aquarium hobby, they are increasingly being cultivated for specialized purposes. This specialization has generated the demand for a more diverse selection of “macros” with each species being preferred for a particular application.

Some of these species are indeed well-suited for their special role. Even so, others are highly desirable as all-purpose seaweeds. These types of macroalgae are most appealing for aquarists who have smaller refugia or desire simplicity. They should additionally be hardy, easy to grow and simple to maintain. The green algae Ulva lactuca most certainly fits this bill.

I think sea lettuce is one of the best macros! Grows fast and herbivores love it. No more feeding nori!
