So, my main reasoning is that it is stupid cheap lol, Also easy to dial in. Joe is using a pre mixed solution, I myself have it where I do 1/2 tbsp of it into rodi to get alkalinity up! only decreases by a small amount each day. So Manual dosing has not been an issues!
